National Stationery Week – Thank You Thursday

Today might be the most important day of the whole week – thank you thursday.  Often, we forget to say thank you to the people closest to us, the ones we take for granted or the ones we think should just know how grateful we are… But people don’t always know until you tell them.  So today is about taking a moment out of our busy lives and saying thank you to those that matter to you.  What are you doing for Thank You Thursday?  Why not write a letter or buy a thank you card to send to someone?  Even if you can’t send it today, make the effort to send it this week and I’m sure they’ll be thrilled to receive it.

Now I have said this in the past few weeks and will, most definitely, be saying it again in the next few as I relaunched my blog with your support and will hit my one year anniversary soon too…  But I wanted to take a moment to say thank you to you.  You are the reason I blog – because people like you stop by to read it.  I have learnt so much since starting Aumsome, new skills and knowledge that I’m so grateful to know now.  I never expected to be able to work with brands but I have.  I never expected to go to blogger events or planners meets (I didn’t even realise you could do that before) but I’ve loved each and every one of them.  I’ve found new passions and dreams that I had knew about or considered before I started blogging.

So without much further ado, here you go:

Thank you letter from me to you

Transcript (if you can’t read my handwriting or the image doesn’t load…)

To you – yes  you,

I’ve probably already said it but I wanted to take a moment to say it again – thank you. You’ve come to visit my blog, read my posts and supported me in more ways than you can possibly know.  More of you than I ever imagined have also shared, messaged me or commented on my posts.  When you comment or message to say that you’ve enjoyed my post, learnt something or felt inspired by it I feel all warm inside!  Your support truly means the world to me – you should see how happy I get everytime I get a notification of a comment or message from one of you!

So thank you – for just being you!

Love,

R x

I wish I could send you all a letter each but sadly, I don’t have the resources to be able to do that (and it will probably be very weird I asked for everyone’s postal address…).  So hopefully this will work – my letter to you all.  For the letter, I chose to write it on Molly & Rex paper from the ‘Create your own happiness’ paper pad.  I love Molly & Rex note pads and always write letters using it but can’t find it easily.  I get mine from Homesense or TK Maxx (which I believe is TJ Maxx, if you’re in the States) and swear by them so I would definitely recommend them.  If anyone wants a closer look at the notepads I have from them then please let me know and I’ll happily share some more pictures with you (or send you a letter, *wink wink*).

But for now, let me sign off and just end with a big thank you!  Happy Thank You Thursday everyone – please do spread the love and tell someone that you’re thankful to have them in your life too, thanks!

National Stationery Week – Get Organised Day

PlannersGet organised day?  That can only mean one thing in my books – planning day!  This is clearly one of my favourite themes simply because it means I get to include pictures of the planners that I love for no other reason than to share them with you, because I love them.  Planners are an essential part of how I organise my life.  I have previously shared how I used 3 different planners on a regular basis.  I am currently changing everything up again so I will be sure to share this with you once I have the new set up.

If you’re new to planning or don’t use one – please consider it!  Planning has really helped me to figure out my dreams, goals and to start reaching them.  Without it, I would be lost and I certainly would not have achieved all of the things that I have achieved today.  I love seeing my goals getting ticked off and my dreams coming closer – and I would absolutely love to see the same for you.

So let’s talk about planners today and my thoughts on how to get organised!  Now there’s tons of ways to use your planners – I think I once made a list that was too long to fit on a single page… Whoops!  But these are a few of my favourite ways to get organised… Continue reading “National Stationery Week – Get Organised Day”

Rhodia Drive: Paper Project Week 21 – No. 19 Rhodia Pad, 80g, White & Yellow, Lined

Rhodia Paper Project Week 21 Close upI’m super thrilled to be able to take part in the Rhodia paper project again.  If you missed it, I had the opportunity to sample the Week 19’s papers which you can read about if you click here.  Go on, I’ll wait. Back?  Well this time, we have different samples entirely.  For Week 21, the samples are two A4 sheets of paper from the No. 19 Rhodia Pad – one in white and the other in yellow.  I actually don’t use A4 pads very much anymore and the largest I seem to go is A5, for the most part so it’s great to be able to sample these bigger sheets and get back into it.  Both sheets are lined, 80gsm sheets of paper.  And quite honestly?  I am quickly falling in love with the quality Rhodia bring every time.  Continue reading “Rhodia Drive: Paper Project Week 21 – No. 19 Rhodia Pad, 80g, White & Yellow, Lined”

* Calepino Notebooks: No.4 Papier Dot Grid

I am quickly falling in love with Pocket Notebooks and the convenience of having one of them on me at all times. This is a market that is dominated by the names of Word Notebooks and Field Notes but the Calepino Notebook* is not one to dismiss.

Calepino Box - Set of 3 Notebooks

I’ll be honest with you, before seeing these I had never heard of Calepino before and was curious to see if they could compete in this market. Tony over at Studio Alt introduced them to me and as I was contemplating purchasing a pack, I got a message saying that there’s “a little something on its way” to me. And this was the Calepino Notebooks, No. 4 Papier Dot Grid. It was such a pleasant surprise so thank you, Studio Alt! These little badboys have been made in France – and they are definitely teaching me that I need to look out for stationery stores when holidaying across Europe because it would be so worth it!

The Green Gables: Happy Paper Club – July 2015 Box

DSC_1836Happy Paper Club is a monthly subscription service from the Green Gables that delivers boxes full of stationery and papery goods. You can opt for a Taster Box, where you purchase just one box, to give it a test before you subscribe. Or you can dive straight in with a rolling monthly subscription or a six month subscription. I chose to go with a taster box just to get a feel for the box and see if it is something I want to invest more money into. The July box ships out towards the end of July so I actually received the box in August but I’m going to open the box up now with you and share my thoughts on it.
