The lovely Zoe (better known as “Han Zolo”) nominated me to take part in today’s post. It’s the 100 truths tag! I haven’t seen one this long – or detailed – so I thought I’d give it a go! It’s basically 100 questions about… well your entire life. Be sure to check out Zoe’s post, which you can find here. Since this will take a while, let’s just skip the introductions and get straight into it.
Q1: What’s your name?
A – Reema
Q2: Any nicknames or aliases?
A – A lot. I think every friend has a different nickname for me. Some came from funny stories or events, others are derivatives of my name whilst some have a totally unknown origin. Like no one can remember where or why it first started. We’ve got short ones like “eems” to longer ones like “The Human Flea” (which is actually a lot nicer than it sounds!). “Flymo” is one of the ones that have stuck with a friend I’ve known for over 15 years but neither of us know where or how it came about…
Q3: Your gender?
A – Female
Q4: Your star sign?
A – Capricorn
Q5: How old are you?
A – 26, though I’ll be 27 in a few weeks.
Q6: Your relationship status?
A – Single
Q7: Any children?
A – Nope but like… does my blog count? I mean it’s like “my baby” right?!
Q8: Any pets?
A – Urm fish. But they are more the family’s pet. I sort of forget we have them. Luckily I’m not responsible for feeding them!
Q9: Any tattoos or piercings?
A – 8 piercings, mostly on my ears. I think a few on my ear lobe have started to close up though! No tattoos – yet. Got some ideas, hopefully get my first one next month.
Q10: What do you like about yourself?
A – Oh urm. This is hard. (See below to understand why). I guess, that I work hard. If there’s something I care about, I’ll work hard to get the job done and do it right. It provides for good work ethics but does make me a bit of a perfectionist.
Q11: What do you dislike about yourself?
A – My lack of a self-esteem or the need to constantly be validated by others.
Q12: Righty or lefty?
A – Righty
LASTS
Q13: The last thing you drank?
A – Water
Q14: The last thing you ate?
A – An Indian item called “Tikki Puri”.
Q15: Your last phone call?
A – Oh err… probably to a mate of mine last night. I think I missed a few calls today – whoops.
Q16: Your last text message?
A – Not sure if Whatsapp counts here so the last actual text was to a friend who asked if I was free to meet up tomorrow.
Q17: Your last email?
A – I have no idea… I think it was a work email to my colleagues. Blog wise, it was an email to a great brand that I’m working with with a few ideas for 2018 – watch this space.
Q18: The last song you listened to?
A – I heard some Christmas caroling on the way home – mostly as I was rushing to get out of the station.
Q19: The last book you read?
A – Urm I have no clue again. I think I started reading some and then stopped half way so I don’t know which one I’m currently reading! Clearly I don’t read enough.
Q20: The last time you cried?
A – Yesterday. When I watched Elf. Because I’m a big baby and I cry in every single film that has an emotional scene. It just made me so happy that I cried?!
Q21: The last blog you read?
A – I’ve read a huge amount recently, trying to catch up with everyone’s blogmas posts. I’m not sure what the last one is but one I read was about tips on starting up an Etsy shop.
Q22: The last person you spoke to?
A – My mother – about two seconds ago – when she asked me a question.
Q23: The last place you visited?
A – Kikki K in Covent Garden, because I wanted to go shopping and buy some goodies.
Q24: Your last holiday abroad?
A – Denmark? No wait- Belgium. It was Plannercon Europe in Brussels at the end of October.
HAVE YOU EVER?
Q25: Have you ever gotten back with an ex?
A – Nope!
Q26: Have you ever been cheated on?
A – Nope
Q27: Have you ever cheated on someone?
A – Nope.
Q28: Have you ever lost someone special to you?
A – Yes, one person comes to mind.
Q29: Have you ever been so drunk you threw up?
A – I’m ashamed to say this is a yes. I think most times I’ve thrown up whilst drinking it’s because of food. Like I left a bit sick before I started drinking, had one drink and vomited. However, there’s definitely been a couple where I just drank too much – and probably didn’t eat enough!
Q30: Have you ever fallen out of love with someone?
A – Urm, I guess? I mean, I’ve loved or liked people and then it’s faded over time – bit like friendships that just fade.
Q31: Have you ever met someone who changed you?
A – Every single person I’ve ever met? I’m one of those people who thinks that every encounter, no matter how small it may, has the chance to change you and make a difference. Even if it was two second conversation with a stranger. Perhaps that has made you slightly happier or angrier. Those small moments add up.
Q32: Have you ever been in a situation where you found out who your real friends are?
A – Not in a dramatic way, no. But there have been times I’ve gone through a rough period and so-called friends don’t seem to care. The real ones definitely stand out in those moments because they’ll drop everything to check up on you.
Q33: Have you ever kissed someone you probably shouldn’t have?
A – No?
Q34: Have you ever found out people were talking about you behind your back?
A – I feel like the answer is yes but I honestly can’t seem to recall any specific times so I’m not sure here.
Q35: Have you ever broken someone’s heart?
A – Apparently, I have. I’ve been told I have by a couple of guys but I honestly have no idea if they were joking or exaggerating. I mean, one guy told me that I broke his heart when he asked me out and I didn’t say yes. Though… I didn’t even realise he had asked me out. Whoops!
Q36: Have you ever kissed a stranger?
A – Err no?
Q37: Have you ever had your own heart-broken?
A – Yes, in a “I’m so disappointed in you – and in myself” sort of way.
Q38: Have you ever had sex on the first date?
A – That’s a negative
Q39: Have you ever been arrested?
A – Nope
Q40: Have you ever been attracted to someone who isn’t the gender you usually find attractive?
A – Not like sexually attracted to a woman but I’ve obviously thought some women were attractive, yes. Surely everyone has?
Q41: Have you ever done something you regret?
A – Hasn’t everyone? I mean, it doesn’t have to be sexual, illegal or anything. Even something as simple as swearing when you shouldn’t have or arguing with your parents.
Q42: Have you ever had a threesome?
A – Nope, nuh uh, not happening.
Q43: Have you ever embarrassed yourself in public?
A –I want to say yes but again, I can’t really think of a specific time. I’m sure I must have fallen or walked into a pole or something at least once.
Q44: Have you ever misjudged someone?
A – Yes. Usually I think the person is nicer than they actually are. So I end up getting hurt. Had money stolen from me by someone like this.
YOUR BELIEFS AND OPINIONS
Q45: Do you believe in God?
A – Yes, sort of. I believe in… something. But it may not be the same as everyone’s definition of God. I am a Hindu though and do love to hear stories about my religion.
Q46: Do you believe in yourself?
A – No, not really. My self-confidence and belief took a massive hit and they’ve never quite recovered. They were pretty shaky to start with. It’s definitely something I’m working on though so I feel like maybe, I’m starting to a little. (Which is why it wasn’t a firm “no”.)
Q47: Do you believe in Santa Claus?
A – Nope, I don’t think I ever did.
Q48: Do you believe in ghosts?
A – Nope!
Q49: Do you believe in aliens?
A – For sure, yes. There may or may not be aliens currently in existence. However, there’s so many planets and galaxies… I think, at some point, there must have been other life foam – even if they aren’t around anymore. Though I do think that somewhere, aliens exist.
Q50: Do you believe in miracles?
A – Not really but I would like to think they do exist, yes.
Q51: Do you believe in the power of positive thinking?
A – Yes. I’ve seen people on fire by the sheer power of their mind.
Q52: Do you believe in love at first sight?
A – Nope. I think that’s just a physical attraction – or lust.
Q53: Can money make you happy?
A – This is a question that I’ve been forced to think a lot about. If you asked me a while back, I would say no without a doubt. However, recently, I guess my answer would be, yes to an extent. I think if you have enough to live a comfortable lifestyle then it’s easier to be happy. Money doesn’t automatically make you happy. But it’s easier to happy when you have a roof over head, a warm meal to eat, a bed to sleep in, heat, electricity, water, loved ones. When you have the basics, it’s easier to focus on things that make you happy. When you’re struggling financially, you don’t always get to do things that make you happy – for example.
Q54: Would you describe yourself as a feminist?
A – The word seems to be mistaken for something negative these days. But yes, I am and I think everyone should be. I support equality. There shouldn’t be a pay gap based on gender, for example. Feminine hygiene products should be given to people who can’t afford it for free – because it’s a necessity, not a choice. However, in the same way, I think paternity leave should also be better too.
Q55: Are you pro-life or pro-choice?
A – Pro-choice.
Q56: Do you have strong political beliefs?
A – Currently I have strong political anger towards laws, policies and people that I very much disagree with.
Q57: Do you have strong religious beliefs?
A – I wouldn’t say strong but I do have religious beliefs.
Q58: What do you think the most important thing you can give a child is?
A – As cheesy as this is, I’d go with love.
RIGHT NOW
Q59: Are you eating anything right now?
A – A fruit salad
Q60: Are you drinking anything right now?
A – Nope
Q61: What are you listening to right now?
A – The TV from the other room
Q62: What are you thinking about right now?
A – “Geez, how am I only on question 62 after all of this time typing?!”
Q63: What are you waiting for right now?
A – Tomorrow because we have the work Secret Santa tomorrow, then the work Christmas do and then no more work until the 9th January 2018!
Q64: What are you most excited about right now?
A – Going to USA for 2 weeks on the weekend!
Q65: What’s your pet hate right now?
A – Hm I don’t know actually. I don’t think I have one?
Q66: What’s your favourite thing right now?

Q67: If you weren’t answering these questions, what would you be doing right now?
A – Probably writing another post for Blogmas!

Q70: Your first celebrity crush?

Q82: Sweet or savoury?
A – Sweet. No savoury. No sweet. No- I don’t know!
Q83: Introvert or extrovert?
A – I honestly have no idea. I seem to resemble traits of both at different times. I’m more on a “on the fence” sort of person.

A – Werewolves, probably because of Harry Potter rather than Twilight though.
Q85: Seaside or countryside?
A – Seaside
Q86: Summer or winter?
A – Oh I like both. This is hard… Hmmm I like snow in Winter and having lots of blankets on my bed. I also don’t like being too hot. But I like that there’s more sunlight in Summer and I can take much better photos for my blog then.
Q87: Books or movies?
A – Movies.
Q88: Horror or comedy?
A – Comedy, without a doubt.
A FEW RANDOM QUESTIONS TO FINISH ON
Q89: Do you wish you could change your past?
A – Yes and no. There are things I want to change in my past, yes. However, if I was genuinely given the chance to right now then I’m not sure I’d take it. I’ve become the way I am because of my past. Good or bad, it’s made me the way I am. And I’m not that bad.
Q90: What’s your dream job?
A – I kind of already do a job I love. Social media & communications in a charity. I love the Charity sector, social media and communications so it’s pretty damn good. I do also want to own a stationery business though. So that’s the next dream. One that will start in 2018!
Q91: What’s your guilty pleasure?
A – I have no idea… I guess right now, Love Actually. I’m a sucker for a good Christmas movie and a good RomCom – so Love Actually, to me, you are perfect.
Q92: What are you afraid of?
A – A lot of things. Being alone, a disappointment, being unloved and hated… Fire? Spiders? Geez, too many things.
Q93: What was the first thing you wanted to be when you grew up?
A – I wanted to own a stationery store (funny how these things work out).
Q94: If you could have any super power, what would it be?
A – I think I’d be boring and pick flight. It’s just something I’ve always been intrigued by. We can swim, why can’t we fly?!
Q95: If you could change anything about your life what would it be?
A – I don’t know. Things that come to mind are things that I can change. So rather than just thinking or wishing for it, I could just change it if I really wanted to.
Q96: Would you want immortality?
A – No, I don’t think so. I think I’d get lonely and appreciate things less.
Q97: If you could interview anyone alive or dead who would you choose?
A – Probably someone like Gandhi.
