Busy B Birthday Card Book
Today’s post is a review of a product I’ve been eyeing up for a while but have only recently got my hands on: the Busy B Birthday Card Book. This book was designed to help you remember your loved ones’ birthdays, helping you to plan ahead. It’s a one time investment as it’s got a perceptual calendar. This means, you don’t have to worry about getting a new one every year or remembering all of the dates from the top of your head whenever you get a new diary.

* Papio Press: Tiger Notebooks
Notebooks are probably one of the things that I have too many of… Nonetheless, I’m always looking for more. There’s a huge variety of ways that you could use notebooks so they end up being the easiest thing to hoard. I go through notebooks fairly often, I think. I like to have one in my bag all the time for on the go notes and then others for specific projects. So when I came across Papio Paper notebooks, I sort of fell in love. It was sort of love at first sight, to be honest. The minute I saw how gorgeous the cover designs were, I was floored. Today’s review is based on the Papio Press Tiger notebooks.
Papio Press have a huge variety of notebooks designs. These illustrations are done by the husband and wife team that run the company, which I think is pretty amazing. It’s one of those small businesses where you know that you’re supporting people’s dreams and livelihoods – and not just funding a corporate giant. Each illustration is absolutely gorgeous. I genuinely did struggle to pick just one favourite… So I just gave up! Perhaps a top ten of those I equally love would be more realistic.
Luckily I didn’t have to make that choice for this review as I was kindly sent a pair to review by Pocket Notebooks, who sent the tigers pack. These tiger illustrations are stunning. I absolutely love the detail in the designs, and the vivid colours. A black background really makes these colours jump out at you.

* Say Nice Things: Crystal A5 Journal
Small independent stationery companies have always been close to my heart. No matter what the industry is, supporting small businesses is important. Not only are you helping people achieve their dreams but you may also find a new favourite company to shop from. Often, the best part about finding small businesses is discovering the unique products that they offer. These products may even be better than the ones offered by the well known brands. Today, I’m thrilled to be able to share a look into one of the products from a small company called Say Nice Things.
Say Nice Things offers journals and notebooks in beautiful covers. Today’s review looks at the Crystal A5 Journal*, which has a gorgeous cover in an array of pastel colours.

Field Notes Byline
When I think of “Field Notes”, I instantly picture one of their pocket notebooks. Whether it’s their Kraft series or a limited edition version, it’s always a pocket notebook that I think of in the traditional sense of the word. I think of the 5.5″ x 3.5″ staple bound pocket notebooks that they commonly produce.If you didn’t already know, Field Notes release a special new limited edition notebook every season. These limited edition versions are only printed in small batches and once sold out, are gone. The number of packets printed for each edition is listed on the website, as well as on the inside covers of the notebooks themselves. And let’s be honest, every time they do something new and amazing. They play with the quality of the paper, the colour of it, the cover material, perforation and many more things as they look to create new exciting products. It’s always exciting to see what they come up with every season. In Summer 2016, they launched the Byline edition – and like always, it was a surprise. The Byline edition is completely different to the other series in that it is a Reporter’s Notebook. A proper top spiral bound flip book sort of reporter’s notebook. Today’s post will be a look into the Byline edition.

In honour of the Erin Condren launch of the new 2017 life planners, I have dedicated two posts to it (yes, TWO posts in ONE day?! Say whaaaat? Erin Condren Life Planner 2016
This week something happened that most of the planner community will have heard about: the Erin Condren launch! EC launched their 2017 life planners and the internet pretty much crashed… Yeah that’s right, their launch crashed the internet. Seriously.My Facebook feed was full of talk about it. Planner groups on Facebook would have tons of daily posts about it (they are still happening!).
So, I think it’s only fair that I dedicate this week’s post to Erin Condren and the beautiful community they have helped to build. Now I couldn’t get all of this to fit in one post, as it would be too long to encompass all of this amazing into one… so I’m splitting it into two parts. Today is part one of the two part series. This will be a quick flip through my 2016 EC life planner and initial thoughts from it…

CheekyBoo Haul
This haul is a bit overdue, as I purchased these items a little while ago! However, these items from CheekyBoo are just so stinking cute that I couldn’t bring myself to use them and ruin their beauty. I’ve finally managed to get around to opening them up & testing them out and thus, can now review the items and let you know what I think.The order arrived really quickly and more importantly, it arrived in super cute packaging! The items inside were wrapped so nicely too that it was more like opening a present than an order. I really love when companies take a few moments to make your order a little bit more special. The thought and extra time they put into wrapping your items nicely shows how much they value your order, in my opinion. CheekyBoo wrapped the items I ordered in really cute and pretty tissue paper, using some washi tape to seal it up. Without much further ado, let us get into the items that I purchased. These might just include perfect presents for Christmas!

Rhodia Drive: Paper Project Week 21 – No. 19 Rhodia Pad, 80g, White & Yellow, Lined
I’m super thrilled to be able to take part in the Rhodia paper project again. If you missed it, I had the opportunity to sample the Week 19’s papers which you can read about if you click here. Go on, I’ll wait. Back? Well this time, we have different samples entirely. For Week 21, the samples are two A4 sheets of paper from the No. 19 Rhodia Pad – one in white and the other in yellow. I actually don’t use A4 pads very much anymore and the largest I seem to go is A5, for the most part so it’s great to be able to sample these bigger sheets and get back into it. Both sheets are lined, 80gsm sheets of paper. And quite honestly? I am quickly falling in love with the quality Rhodia bring every time. -

* Calepino Notebooks: No.4 Papier Dot Grid
I am quickly falling in love with Pocket Notebooks and the convenience of having one of them on me at all times. This is a market that is dominated by the names of Word Notebooks and Field Notes but the Calepino Notebook* is not one to dismiss.
I’ll be honest with you, before seeing these I had never heard of Calepino before and was curious to see if they could compete in this market. Tony over at Studio Alt introduced them to me and as I was contemplating purchasing a pack, I got a message saying that there’s “a little something on its way” to me. And this was the Calepino Notebooks, No. 4 Papier Dot Grid. It was such a pleasant surprise so thank you, Studio Alt! These little badboys have been made in France – and they are definitely teaching me that I need to look out for stationery stores when holidaying across Europe because it would be so worth it!
