The National Stationery Week Bundle

Today is a super special day for me. I am currently standing in the London Stationery Show. It’s an amazing event that takes place annually. The show itself is organised by a fantastic team of stationery geeks, so it’s always a great day for a stationery blogger such as myself. Unfortunately, it’s a trade show – which means it’s not open to the general public. I’m honoured to be able to say that I was selected by the team to cover this fantastic event.

But fear not, there’s a way for everyone to get involved in today’s National Stationery Week theme! Jump online and check out #StationeryTheWorldOver on social media. Share pictures of stationery stores all over the world.

I’ll be sharing some thoughts from the London Stationery Show next week so watch out for that if you’re interested. However, today, I wanted to quickly share some fantastic products that I received from the team that organised this event. These products were generously sent by the sponsors of National Stationery Week. I’m incredibly humbled by the fact that I was one of the chosen bloggers to receive this bundle and wanted to share what was in it with you.

The National Stationery Week Bundle

The bundle contains:

  • An A5 journal from Nuco’s Spectrum range
  • A couple of Staedtler’s pigment liners
  • A T-Rex style highlighter from Mustard
  • An A4 storage folder from Santoro
  • A clipboard planner and pen from Santoro
  • A pencil case from Santoro
  • One of the Spectrum Noir metallic markers from Crafter’s Companion
  • A ballpoint pen and pouch from Cross
  • And it all came in a box from G.F. Smith, who included the colour of the year envelope and information.

I can’t wait to use all of these products in more depth. Throughout the week, I’ll drop pictures of them in use once I get around to testing them. I have already started using a few products, however, which I’m super excited about. Those metallic markers, for example, jumped out at me. Although my lettering is not the best, I felt compelled to try them out. As a result, I ended up creating the ‘National Stationery Week’ sign above. The colours are so beautiful in real life. The camera fails to capture it’s beauty, in my opinion. I love Crafter’s Companion and have a number of their products. However, I haven’t had the chance to try out some of their newer ones so receiving this really made my day. There’s a few other products that I really want to try out!

Once I get a chance, I’ll test out all of the products and share my favourites with you. If there’s anything you would like to see in more depth, let me know and I’ll whip up a review for you.

Until next time, why don’t you check out my Twitter or Instagram page? I’ll be sharing pictures and thoughts on there throughout the day – and the rest of the week – from the show and the week itself.

National Stationery Week 2018

For various reasons that I won’t bore you with now, I had to take a hiatus from the blog and writing. Today, I’m back with a quick post to share something I love dearly. It is, perhaps, my favourite week in the entire year. Probably even more so than Christmas. Starting tomorrow, you’ll be able to enjoy seven days of stationery. Yes, that’s right, seven whole days. Because tomorrow, National Stationery Week starts. Or NatStatWeek, for short.

If you haven’t heard of it already, NatStatWeek celebrates all things stationery. It’s a whole week dedicated to everything from a blank of piece of paper to ink splatters all over the page. A week that encourages people to write things by hand – because writing matters. It’s a topic I’ve spoken a lot about already so I won’t go into details about that now.

What I did, however, want to share with you was what you should look forward to this year. As usual, there is a daily theme. Each theme is sponsored and supported by a different company. I’m super thrilled to be able to say that I was selected by the team to blog about this fantastic week.

This year’s themes are:

Monday 23rd – Make A Note   [#makeanote by NUCO]
Tuesday 24th – Pen and Pencil   [#penandpencil by STAEDTLER]
Wednesday 25th – Stationery the World over   [#stationerytheworldover by LONDON STATIONERY SHOW]
Thursday 26th – Work Happy   [#workhappy by MUSTARD]
Friday 27th – A Place for Everything   [#aplaceforeverything by SANTORO]
Saturday 28th – Get Crafty   [#getcrafty by CRAFTER’S COMPANION]
Sunday 29th – Signature Saturday   [#signaturesaturday by CROSS]

There’s a few days that I’m rather excited for. Well, I’m excited for all of them but perhaps more so for some! Do any of them stand out for you?

Personally, I just can’t wait to follow the hashtags through social media on each day and see what comes up!

For the Love of Stationery…

If you’re a fan of stationery then make sure you get involved. I highly suggest keeping an eye out for discount codes and giveaways too – there’s always some around. Your favourite stationery stores may be getting involved too.

Throughout the week, be sure to watch the main hashtags too. #NatStatWeek and #WritingMatters are the two to keep your eye on.

Let me leave you with this, the aims of National Stationery Week – as quoted directly from their website:

To get stationery lovers talking about and sharing details of their stationery and what they use it for, plus the products, brands and retailers they like and can recommend

To promote the importance of hand writing and encourage people to keep writing

And to get more people spelling stationery with an “E”!

That last one is definitely my favourite. Remember, it’s “E” for Envelope!

That’s all from me for today. I’ll see you tomorrow. Follow me on Twitter or Instagram to what I get up to! I took a hiatus from those two, as well but I’ll be back tomorrow with things to share there too.

Launch Giveaway #4 – Fountain Pen Friday

Launch Giveaway #4 status: Closed.

For the final giveaway for National Stationery Week, I thought it would be perfect to tie it in with Fountain Pen Friday.  I absolutely love fountain pens.  There’s something satisfying about writing with a fountain pen and ink.  I’m pretty sure it makes my handwriting a lot nicer than other pens too.  However, not everyone is a fountain pen user.  So for Fountain Pen Friday, I wanted to do a giveaway that was open to everyone but also tied in with the pens I love.  As a result, I’ve chosen to add the “J Herbin Rollerball pen” to the bundle.  This pen has a rollerball nib but uses fountain pen ink.  It’s a great combination, allowing you to experience the variety of colours and fun of writing in ink whilst using a nib that most people are familiar with.  Be sure to check out the other two giveaways running over here.

Launch Giveaway #3 – World Stationery Day

Launch Giveaway #3 status: Closed.

As National Stationery Week continued on, I find myself falling more in love with the industry – if that’s even possible.  Being a stationery addict is incredibly fun.  Unfortunately, it also meant I was so busy that I didn’t manage to get this post up in time.  In honour of World Stationery Day, which was on Wednesday, I wanted to giveaway this second stationery bundle.  You can find the other giveaways for National Stationery Week over here.

Launch Giveaway #2 – Pen and Pencil Day

Launch Giveaway #2 status: Closed.

In true better late than never style, I thought it was about time I did the other three giveaways I promised in honour of launching a new domain.  The first one is a planner bundle, that you can find here.  Whilst these next three will be small stationery bundles, each slightly different.  In honour of National Stationery Week, which starts today, these giveaways will take place over the course of the week.  In addition to this, I will be active on social media and be sharing lots of other exciting news.  You can find links to the other #NatStatWeek posts and giveaways over here.  So without further ado, let’s jump into the first giveaway.

National Stationery Week 2017

The week we’ve all been waiting for is now upon us (or at least, the week all of us stationery addicts have been waiting for!).  Stationery addicts and users across the country are coming together.  All to celebrate one thing: their love of stationery.

Due to personal reasons, I sadly won’t be able to get involved with the activities this week as much as I would have liked.  Last year, I shared a post daily.  You can find these posts by clicking here.  I planned to do the same until unexpected personal reasons cropped up.  However, I still want to do something.  My first launch giveaway is currently underway, where the winner will get a planner bundle.  This week, I will be holding three additional giveaways and will be updating this post as I go along.  So check back here daily for the update!  Where possible, I will also be around on Twitter – so please drop me a tweet to chat!  For now, let’s jump right in.

National Stationery Week 2017

With less than a month to go, I wanted to talk about something very special to me (and to this blog): National Stationery Week (#NatStatWeek).  On the last week of April, head over to social media to see everyone talking about the campaign.  #NatStatWeek trended on Twitter several times last year.  It’s a good excuse to find any old bits of stationery you haven’t used in a while or take out your favourite products (or even go shopping for more goodies!).

I’m looking forward to it already, it’s something that has never ceased to amaze me.  In 2015, I first came across #NatStatWeek and it inspired me to start this very blog.  In 2016, I beat my own expectations by posting daily during the week.  Every year, there’s a theme for each day of the week – the 7 days of stationery.

#NatStatWeek Seven Days of Stationery

There are some great themes this year.  A few of them were carried over from previous years but there’s a couple of new ones.  I’m particularly fond of  Tuesday’s #GetCrafty as that’s something I’m always saying I’ll do more of.  I never seem to have the time to do all of the craft that I say I’m going to do, however.  Whether you’re a stationery user or an addict, get involved throughout the week.  Not only is it incredibly fun but it’s also provides you with lots of opportunities.  You’ll find some brilliant new items, meet fellow stationery addicts or even win prizes.  A few of my giveaways will be running during that week too.

#NatStatWeek Stationery BloggerWhat else happens in the week?

The Stationery Blogger of the Year – an award decided by you – will be announced during #NatStatWeek.  You can vote for your favourite stationery blogger on the website, once they’ve shortlisted the nominees.  I’m really excited about this award as it’s a good opportunity to find some new bloggers that I may not know about already.  If you’re a stationery blogger yourself, I would recommend you check their website out to find out more about the award.

There is also a London Stationery Show, for companies to source new products or for stationery brands to promote their latest products.  It’s a two day event, with tons of brands.  I’m honoured to announce that I will be attending the event this year, so watch this space as I’m sure I’ll have a lot of blogging to do after the event.  If you are attending, let me know so I can make sure I visit you!

Like most stationery addicts, I will also be active on social media throughout the week, so please come say hi.  My Twitter is the best place to catch me during the week but I’ll also be posting pictures or doing live stories on Instagram.

Pop over to the #NatStatWeek website to find out more.

Will you be doing anything special for National Stationery Week 2017?

Leave a comment and let me know.  I always enjoy talking to fellow stationery addicts.

National Stationery Week 2016

As a Stationery Blogger, there’s nothing really more exciting than this week – National Stationery Week (#NatStatWeek) – and the best part is that this week is finally upon us.   That is 7 days of stationery, each day has its own theme and it’s perfect for anyone to get involved in.  I love how active the hashtag #NatStatWeek gets this week – in particular on Twitter.  It’s a perfect combination of digital and analogue – mixing my favourite thing in each area: Social Media with Stationery.  One is my profession and the other is my passion – it’s a pretty perfect combination for me.

And whilst I say “National” (meaning here in the UK), there is actually something for everyone to celebrate, no matter where you are in the world and that’s World Stationery Day on Wednesday!

To celebrate the week, I’ll be doing a week long series of daily posts – yes that’s right, daily.  Me.  The “one post a week when I feel like it girl”.  Even though I recently decided to relaunch with the aim of doing one post every Saturday, I thought it was only fitting to dedicate a short post every day to talk about these 7 themes of Stationery…

As the week goes on, these will (hopefully) become hyperlinks to posts.  You know, if things go to plan, that is.

On Twitter or Instagram?  Lets be Social Media friends!  I’ll be engaging throughout the week and talking all about Stationery during that time – as well as sharing some great items and goodies I have for you all.
