New Year, New You? Goals for 2019.

The past year or two has been full of one thing after another. It felt like one obstacle after another. It’s drained a lot out of me and I dropped a lot of things – actively blogging being one of them. Heck, even being happy was a struggle for most of the year. A lot of negative things happened, that’s for sure. However, I’ve gotten to the point where I need to stop feeling sorry for myself and start actively living again. Time to set some goals. This is definitely easier said than done.

An unexpected bereavement in the family has taught me a lot. He was a man who worked incredibly hard. He was kind and selfless. Even now, he continues to inspire me. So it’s time to work hard and reach the goals. And what better time to start making changes than your birthday?

So today, on my birthday, I’ve decided to reopen the blog and hold myself accountable to start actively doing all of the things I have wanted to do. To work hard and achieve them. It’s time to stop slothing around and start acting.

Goals for 2019

2019 Goals…

I’m not going to hold too many blog goals, as I have been incredibly inactive over the past year. I’ve decided to start small and just attempt to keep going. So, I have a bunch of ideas and I’m going to start sharing them with you over the months.

There are a few monthly challenges and fun things for you to get involved with too. There are also some giveaways planned. Just to keep it realistic, I am going to mostly sit to similar blog goals that I had made last year. The numbers, at the very least, are similar. I have a huge list of things that I have been meaning to do for a while, but simply never got around to doing for one person or another. Mostly due to bad health or other personal reasons. However, this is the year that I want to start finally addressing those and making some changes.

Let’s make Goals!

In my personal life, I will (of course) be working to improve my health and the health of those around to me to try and avoid any more sicknesses befalling onto the family. However, these goals are the few that I have that I wanted to do for my blog or showcase on here. Writing letters has always been a big one for me and you will definitely see a lot more of that over the coming year.

One of the biggest changes that I want to make is, starting from now, writing one letter/card and one blog post every week. This will likely be posted on the weekends but is subject to changing, depending on time and dates. I definitely want to be able to reach 52 posts by the end of the year, however. So let’s see how that goes on both of those fronts!

Goals Sheet – what are your goals?

Just to help serve as a reminder of my three biggest goals this year, I have created the above sheet that will help me. The numbers at the top of the sheet represent how many views, Twitter followers, Instagram and Pinterest followers and posts that I want to do. I used to have a video thing on there, for YouTube as that was something I wanted to do. However, to help me start small, I’ve removed that for now from my personal goals sheet. It’s a quick list of the statistics that I want to achieve by the end of 2019. If you’re interested, feel free to download a blank copy of this goals sheet, with the YouTube addition, here. You can edit it and fill it out as you want by saving it and adding text or printing it off and writing down your goals by hand.

If you do use it, I’d love to see what your goals are so please do feel free to share them with me!

Yes! It’s so lovely to receive things in the post that aren’t just bills or junk post. I really love the extra time and effort that people put into sending a handwritten piece of correspondence so I’m thrilled that I’m not alone in this. If you’re interested in receiving something from me, please do drop me a postal address so I can add you to the list! Thank you, lovely xx
